Industrial electrical

Industrial facilities run on power that has to be right the first time and stay on.

We have done industrial electrical work since the 1980s, when we installed the electrical systems for wind farms at Altamont Pass. That experience on heavy, demanding sites carries into today's plants, warehouses and equipment yards.

We work from your drawings and specifications, or alongside your engineer, and coordinate with the general contractor and the other trades so the electrical work stays on schedule.

Typical scope

  • Power distribution and panelboards
  • Motor, machinery and equipment hookups
  • Industrial and high bay lighting and controls
  • Conduit, cable tray and wire pulling
  • Disconnects, meters and service equipment
  • Testing and startup support

Good fit for: Manufacturers, warehouses, distribution centers, yards and the general contractors building them.

Commercial new construction

From the service entrance to the last receptacle, we wire new commercial buildings as part of your build team.

New construction moves fast and the electrical scope touches every other trade. We plan material and crews around your schedule and keep communication clear from rough-in through final inspection.

We bid commercial projects on both prevailing wage and open shop terms, so you get a price that matches how the job is actually run.

Typical scope

  • Service and distribution equipment
  • Lighting, power and low-voltage rough-in
  • High bay lighting for shops and gyms
  • Panels, feeders and branch circuits
  • Coordination with inspectors and trades
  • Closeout and punch-list support

Good fit for: General contractors, developers and owners building new offices, retail, warehouses and sports and fitness facilities.

Tenant improvements

Build-outs for office, retail and warehouse spaces, done cleanly and on time so tenants can open.

A tenant improvement runs on the lease clock, so delays cost real money. We plan the electrical scope early, order material in advance and work cleanly around other trades and, when needed, around occupied spaces.

Typical work includes new lighting and power layouts, added circuits, panel upgrades and the finishing details that make a space ready to use.

Typical scope

  • Lighting and power for new layouts
  • Panel upgrades and added circuits
  • Receptacles, data and equipment circuits
  • EV chargers for office parking
  • Work around occupied spaces
  • Testing, labeling and closeout

Good fit for: Property managers, tenants and general contractors handling office, retail and warehouse build-outs.

Telecommunications

Telecommunications has been a core part of our work since the late 1980s.

When wind development slowed, we moved into the telecommunications industry, and we have worked in it ever since. We understand the pace and the documentation these projects require.

We supply the electrical side of telecom projects: power, pathways, grounding and the coordination with carriers and other contractors that keeps a site moving.

Typical scope

  • Power systems for telecom sites
  • Conduit and pathway installation
  • Grounding and bonding
  • Meters, disconnects and service equipment
  • Equipment pad and enclosure wiring
  • Coordination with carriers and contractors

Good fit for: Carriers, tower and site contractors and prime contractors needing a reliable electrical subcontractor.

EV charging and panel upgrades

Level 2 charger installation and the panel work that makes it possible, for homes, offices and commercial properties.

We check your panel and load first, upgrade the panel only if it is needed, then install a dedicated circuit and mount, wire and test the charger. For offices and commercial sites we install multiple chargers.

Five-O Electric is a member of the PG&E Trade Ally Network. Membership is not an endorsement by PG&E.

Typical scope

  • Load calculation and panel assessment
  • Panel upgrades for EV charging
  • Dedicated 240-volt circuits
  • Charger mounting, wiring and testing
  • Multi-charger setups for offices
  • Permit and inspection coordination

Good fit for: Homeowners with a new EV and businesses adding charging for employees or customers.
